The Shop
The Shop is where we make things. Woodworking, metal fabrication, and 3D printing — sometimes all three in the same project. We build out of necessity more than anything else: a piece of furniture that doesn’t exist in the right size, a tool mount that needs to hold a specific way, a bracket that would cost $80 to order and $4 to print. Over time it’s turned into a proper workflow and a shop we’re proud of.
We document our builds from start to finish — the design decisions, the tools we used, the things we’d change on the next run. If you’re setting up a shop of your own or working through a similar project, you’ll find the specifics here.
Woodworking
From rough lumber to finished furniture and farm infrastructure. We work with hardwoods, dimensional lumber, and reclaimed material depending on the project. Joinery, finishing, jigs, fixtures — all covered in the build posts.
Metal Fabrication
MIG welding, angle grinding, tube bending, and basic sheet metal work. Most of our metal projects are functional — equipment mounts, trailer modifications, gates, frames. We focus on getting things right over getting them pretty, though we’re getting better at both.
3D Printing
We run Bambu Lab printers for functional parts — brackets, adapters, jigs, replacement components, and prototypes before cutting metal or wood. 3D printing has saved us more time and money than we expected when we started. We cover our printer setups, material choices, and the files behind useful prints.
